Concept/Idea Phase
Alde Akva AS can assist customers with developing a feasibility study based on the their needs. In this phase, we contribute to illuminate the potential of your idea. We provide sufficient groundwork to make an assessment on whether the concept should be pursued further or not. This includes overall assesments of spatial and area planning, risk, technical possibilities, and sketches (3D modeling). We have extensive experience with contributing in the concept phase and preparing for the next phase – the preliminary project.
Preliminary project
In the preliminary project phase, we will further develop the selected concept. We calculate dimensioning criteria along with production planning, component selection and operational analyses. During this phase, the project’s framework should be described more clearly than in the concept phase and a draft solution is developed. The concept is often cross-discipline reviewed and outlined in broad terms by the disciplines of structural engineering (RIB), geotechnical engineering (RIG), HVAC engineering (RIV), fire safety engineering (RIBr), and electrical engineering (RIE) during the preliminary project phase. We assist with facility design that is based on calculations, and provide 3D modeling and visualization of the facilities. The preliminary project usually culminates in a 3D model with visualization of the facility, cost estimates, and a specification sheet that can be used in the detailed design phase.
Detailed design
Once the customer has made up a decision about the concept from the preliminary project, we can start the detail design phase. In this phase, the technical solutions are fully illustrated based on precise calculations and descriptions. When the detailed design is complete, the material must be able to be used as a working basis in the execution phase. Therefore, it is crucial that the level of detail is sufficient.
Ensuring robust interdisciplinary expertise and coordination is crucial during this phase, given the involvement of multiple disciplines collaborating to establish the working basis.
Alde Akva AS has a significant experience in designing and coordinating projects during the detailed design phase.
Execution
After the detailed design phase and the development of the working basis, Alde Akva AS can contribute as a project manager, technical leader and BIM coordinator in the ongoing work. We have extensive experience serving as a liaison between designers, project owners, and contractors. We can also provide guidance and act as advisors or collaborative partners in this phase, as desired.
Operation
During the operational phase, we can contribute as advisors and collaborative partners. This could involve addressing issues related to optimizing operation, NS 9416 compliance or expansion/modification of existing concepts. See below for other services we offer.
